Go back and reread what I said at the end of the first paragraph-about how torrenting and asking for people to post links/finding and posting those links yourself loses the creator out on way more than one sale. It'd be like if someone broke into your house and stole something valuable, proceeded to tell all his friends that your house has a bunch of cool shit in it and that they should totally check it out, and then you thank them on the premise that 'well, y'know, maybe a couple of 'em will be nice enough to make an offer for my things instead of just taking them'. I wish people would stop trying to spin this into some sort of amazing gift for the creator.

You're seeding torrents, encouraging and asking for links to download stuff-by pirating a work, in many cases, you're helping others pirate it as well, losing the creator out on multiple sales.
